Born into the humdrum of Missoula Montana, 22 year old Makenna Lyric has created music in her bedroom throughout her adolescence, picking up the guitar in 8th grade. Behind the walls of suburbia her fingers have fluttered on strings, and with her nourishing voice explored the birth of Black consciousness and womanhood in an unnurturing and predominantly white environment.
